In order to minimize risks and in the face of the situation arising from the advance of the third wave of the pandemic, the Fundació Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears will broadcast the ninth concert of the season by streaming for free, which will be performed by the Mallorcan violinist Francisco Fullana. An event that Mallorca Caprice will also offer live for its readers through its website next Sunday, February 7 between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
On February 4, 5, 6 and 7 at 8:00 p.m., citizens will be able to follow live the performances of the young soloist, who will perform the Violin Concerto no. 3 by W.A. Mozart, one of the composer’s most important works for violin, full of nuances and contrasts.
The program will be completed with Symphony no. 4 by J. Myslivecek and J. Haydn’s 104 London Symphony, the last written by the Austrian composer and the only one that includes the title of the city from which he composed his works.
Francisco Fullana: un gran talento
At the age of 4 Francisco Fullana picked up a violin for the first time and four years later he would discover from the hand of Professor Vartan Manoogian that he had a great talent, which made him move to Madrid with only 11 years of age to express his potential.
Since then, the young Mallorcan has not stopped reaping successes in his career. Winner of the 2018 Avery Fisher Career Grant, Fullana has been named by BBC Music Magazine as one of the “rising stars on the international scene”, while director Gustavo Dudamel has defined him as “a great talent.” Other voices refer to him as “a virtuoso of sublime delicacy” (San Francisco Classical Voice) or as “pure perfection” (New York Classical Review).
