The Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar is constantly renewed with services and facilities. In addition to the clay courts that were recently added, the Manacor sports center now has three electric blue covered courts located inside the main building of the venue.

The first tennis players to make use of these newly opened courts will be the players of the “Tennis Europe Under 12 Festival”, a tournament that brings together the best European tennis players under 12 years of age at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar. These 64 players (32 boys and 32 girls) will fight for 6 days to be crowned the best continental player in the category.

Expansion project

At the end of 2021, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar completed its expansion project with the inauguration of its new sports infrastructure. Although details of the facilities are still to be finalized, players can already enjoy three new indoor hard surface courts.

At the start of 2022, the new complex will officially open, which will house both the new indoor courts (3 hard courts and 7 clay courts), as well as a new fitness center and a medical center serving the 155 players who live in the Academy throughout the year carrying out the annual program.

This expansion, which also includes new paddle tennis and beach volleyball courts, will also serve to serve adults and young people who come weekly for short tennis programs.
