Since 2010, La Lluna en Vers -The Moon in Verse- has transformed Mallorca’s summer nights into a unique gathering of music, poetry, and theatre. In its 2025 edition, the festival returns with a programme that invites audiences to discover new sounds and artistic expressions, keeping the spoken word as its central theme. From 21 June to 6 September, it will offer 13 open-air cultural nights, featuring performances that blend tradition and modernity in unique venues across the island.

Christina Rosenvinge.

As in previous years, La Lluna en Vers 2025 will take place in Binissalem, Santanyí, and Sant Joan, the venues of the Fundació Mallorca Literària. This year, new locations are added: Porreres, Montuïri, and Colònia de Sant Pere. This expansion strengthens its decentralised nature and brings a diverse programme to the public, where music, poetry, and theatre intertwine.

Renowned Artists and Emerging Talent

This year’s lineup features both well-established artists and rising talent. Among the most notable names are Soleá Morente and Niño de Elche, who will perform a double concert in Sant Joan; pianist and composer Clara Peya, presenting her show Corsé in Binissalem; and singer-songwriter Júlia Colom, who will perform in Porreres as part of the Mobofest Festival. Additionally, the multi-talented Christina Rosenvinge will perform on 27 June in Binissalem with Los versos sáficos.

This edition will feature performances in Catalan, Spanish, Italian, Algherese, Basque, and Arabic, showcasing a variety of styles ranging from hip-hop and electronic music to flamenco copla, tarantella, and Murcian jota. Additionally, the festival will pay tribute to great literary figures such as Blai Bonet, Víctor Català, Maria Mercè Marçal, Enric Casasses, and Cèlia Viñas, along with evocations of Lorca and Sappho.

Organised by the Fundació Mallorca Literària with the support of the Consell de Mallorca, La Lluna en Vers 2025 has established itself as a must-attend event in the island’s cultural calendar, offering a programme that surprises and moves audiences each year.

Tickets will be on sale from 18 March at lallunaenvers.cat, with a 15% discount available until the end of April.
