Norwegian billionaire Ivar Erik Tollefsen has bought sa Fortalesa, the estate declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in Pollença which hosted the wedding of Rafa Nadal and Mery Perelló. The property belonged until now to the Briton Jame Lupton, who has bought it from him for just over 60 million euros.
As reported by Forbes in its list of fortunes – position number 424 – real estate investor Ivar Tollefsen created his first company at the age of 14, Tollefsen Enterprises, which rented DJ services and equipment for events. With the profits from his nightclub business he started to build a real estate empire, now called Fredensborg AS. Fredensborg owns 100,000 flats across Europe and, in 2017, bought a building in Oslo that used to house the US embassy. Tollefsen has led several polar expeditions and competed in the Dakar Rally. In recent years, he has gone from having a fortune of 1.2 billion in 2018 to 6 billion in 2022.
