The Consell de Mallorca has managed to reduce the waiting lists at ITV Mallorca, now offering appointments within a time frame of fifteen days to a month and a half. This represents a significant improvement compared to 2023, when waiting times could reach up to five months, according to the president of the Consell, Llorenç Galmés.
Currently, the ITV Mallorca stations in Calvià, Palma I (Son Castelló industrial estate) and Palma II (Son Oms industrial estate) have appointments available for this month of September. Meanwhile, the centres in Inca and Manacor have availability in October and November.
ITV Mallorca to open on Saturdays
To continue reducing waiting times, all ITV Mallorca stations will open on Saturdays in September, from 08:00 to 14:00. The first opening will be this Saturday, 6 September, and will continue on 13, 20 and 27 September. This measure will allow approximately 1,000 inspections per week, with an estimated total of 4,000 inspections by the end of the month.
New motorcycle inspection lines
The Minister for Territory, Mobility and Infrastructure, Fernando Rubio, has also presented a new motorcycle inspection line at the ITV in Son Oms industrial estate. This second line will allow around 600 inspections per month, increasing motorcycle inspection capacity in Mallorca by 20%. This measure responds to the growth of the motorcycle fleet on the island, which currently reaches 100,000 units.

The Consell is also working on opening a new ITV Mallorca station in Campos, which could be operational between late 2025 and early 2026. This new facility will help relieve congestion at the Manacor station, which currently has the longest waiting list.
How to book an ITV Mallorca appointment
The increased availability of hours has been made possible thanks to an agreement between the Consell de Mallorca and the ITV workers’ committee, which ensures voluntary staff for Saturdays. Anyone interested can book an appointment through the official website: ITV.mallorca.es.
With these measures, the Consell de Mallorca reinforces its commitment to streamline the service, reducing waiting times and improving the user experience across the island.
