Esteban Lisiotti, Kevin Lisciotto, and Damián Salazar have made Mallorca their home, working together at the Santa Catalina Market. Esteban, originally from Córdoba, Argentina, has been on the island for over a decade as a cook. His cousin Kevin arrived four months ago with his family seeking a change of life and now works as a waiter. Kevin is delighted with the island, though concerned about the high cost of housing. Damián, from Ecuador, has been here for more than 20 years and works alongside them. He values the quality of life but notes that inflation is increasingly affecting it.

Country of origin: Italy.

Profession: CCS researcher.
Manuela was born in Naples. After spending 10 years in London and another 7 in Milan, she felt the need to leave big cities while continuing her passion for research. “The city of Palma is the perfect size for me; within less than half an hour, I can be in nature or at one of its beautiful coves, and that is quality of life.” Now, Manuela works with one of the research groups at the Universitat de les Illes Balears.

Country of origin: Réunion (France).

Profession: Teacher, artist, and philologist.
Thomas was born on the island of Réunion. Twelve years ago, he arrived in Palma, where he works as a robotics teacher at Tecnoaprendo. With an academic background in Hispanic philology, living in Mallorca has given him the opportunity to deepen his “great passion”: Spanish culture. Additionally, Thomas has developed a board game called *Lyrik*, which he hopes will soon be available in stores.
Name: Constanze Waeger.
Country of origin: Germany.
Time in Mallorca: 12 years.
Profession: Artist.
Constanze was born in Munich, moved to England, and first came to Mallorca 30 years ago. She lived in the U.S. and returned with her daughter 12 years ago. “I love that everything is close by, the weather is good, you can travel anywhere from here, and life is easy.” As an artist, Mallorca is perfect for her profession. Country of origin: Senegal.

Profession: Cleaner and cook.
Tiguida, originally from Senegal, landed in Mallorca to be with her family, and 19 years have passed since her arrival. “What I love most about Mallorca is the people; I’m delighted with everyone. I’m very happy to be here; I’ve met wonderful people,” she shares. Regarding her work experiences, she says, “Everyone has been good to me. I carry them all in my heart.”

Profession: Real estate agent.
Margarita was born in Bolivia but obtained Spanish nationality 24 years ago. She also lived in Germany for nearly two decades. “I’m here for the sun, good energy, and the people. Mallorca is very well-connected to places I enjoy visiting, like London and the U.S., so I’m thrilled to live on this beautiful island,” she tells us.
