The Marratxí’s Fira de Tardor 2024 (Autumn Fair) will finally take place on the weekend of 16th and 17th November, following its postponement due to the heavy storm that affected the Valencian Community and the official mourning period declared in the Balearic Islands. This much-anticipated event, which attracts thousands of visitors each year, returns to the Sant Marçal venue with a full programme of activities for the whole family.
The Autumn Fair, now in its XXIII edition, is one of the town’s most emblematic celebrations, designed to welcome autumn and showcase the best of the region’s traditions, gastronomy, and crafts. This year, it will feature the I Mostra de Producte Local (First Local Product Showcase), organised in collaboration with productodeaqui.com, bringing together over 100 local producers in a 200 m² space, where attendees can explore and purchase fresh, locally sourced products from Mallorca.
The event will also offer the traditional artisan market, with stalls featuring local artisans, as well as sports exhibitions, craft workshops, and activities especially for children, including inflatable castles, storytelling, and children’s theatre. For adults, Saturday’s “tardeo” will feature DJ sets and live music, perfect for an enjoyable afternoon.
The Cursa XI del Siurell: solidarity in action
Coinciding with the Autumn Fair, the XI Cursa del Siurell (Siurell Run) will also be held on Saturday 16th November. This charity race, with proceeds going to ASPANOB (Association of Families of Children with Cancer in the Balearic Islands), will have local icon and three-time world triathlon champion Mario Mola as its honorary sponsor. Race categories include distances of 12 km, 5 km, a solidarity walk, and children’s races, ensuring all ages and abilities can join in for a good cause.
