On Sunday 17th March the Fira de la Carne y del Embutido de Sóller (Sóller Meat Fair) will be held, which is celebrating its third edition in 2024. The Town Hall has presented the programme for this Sóller meat fair market, which will take place over the course of Sunday morning. The epicentre of the activities will be the Municipal Market.
The Sóller Meat Fair will once again feature an exhibition based on the book “Historia de las fábricas de embutidos de Sóller” (History of the Sóller sausage factories), by authors Juan Antonio Fernández Vila and Toni Quetgles Cifre. As usual, visitors will be able to purchase meat products and by-products, tastings, torradoras, xeremiers, traditional dancing, music, family workshops and much more entertainment.
Programme of the Sóller Meat Fair 2024
- 9:00. Opening of the Fair-Market and inauguration of the exhibition ‘Historia de fábricas de embutidos de Sóller’ (History of Sóller’s sausage factories) based on the book of the same name by Juan Antonio Fernández Vila and Antoni Quetglas Cifre.
- 9:30. Inauguration concert by the Xeremiers de Sóller (Sóller Xeremiers).
- 9:00 a 16:00. Municipal Market. Exhibition and sale of meat products and by-products.
- 9:00 a 16:00. Pl. del Mercat, snack and lunch area. Torradoras for tasting.
- 10:00. Guided tour “Las fábricas de embutidos de Sóller” (“Sóller’s sausage factories”) (starting point: 10:00 in Pl. de América).
- 12:00. Performance by the group Aires Sollerics and popular dance.
- 13:30. Entertainment by the AnimAcústicA Trio.
