The Chopin Festival has already become a summer tradition in the village of Valldemossa. On 7 August, one of the most eagerly awaited classical music and piano festivals of the year began in Mallorca, with Aimi Kobayashi at the piano. The prize-winning artist in the Warsaw competition won over the audience on a very special opening night.

In this 42nd edition of the Chopin Festival, the festival will bring two pianists of great renown: Matín García, the Spanish pianist awarded in 2021 by the Warsaw Chopin Competition; and Alexei Volodin, another pianist of great international renown.

The majestic Cartoixa de Valldemossa will host the Chopin Festival 2022 every Sunday in August. It is worth noting that this historic building was the setting for the first pose of the Royal Family last week during their official visit to Valldemossa on the occasion of their summer stay on the island.

Music lovers and festival-goers will be able to enjoy the exhibition Tintaigua, by the artist Mateu Coll, which will be held in the Sala Capitular from the 5th to the 28th of August.
