The Festes de la Mare de Déu de la Salut 2025 of Palma (Patrona Festivities 2025 of Palma), one of the most important summer celebrations in the city, will take place from 5 to 8 September with a comprehensive programme of cultural, musical and family activities, all free and open to the public.
The festival, declared of Municipal Public Interest this year, has its roots in the parish of Sant Miquel, where devotion to the patron saint of Palma has been maintained for decades, especially promoted by Bishop Josep Miralles. Thanks to the collaboration of the City Council (Ajuntament) and the Federació de Veïnats de Sa Ciutat, the festivities have gained prominence in recent years and have become a cultural reference in the city.
Lourdes Roca, Second Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Citizen Participation, highlighted that these festivities represent “an opportunity to recover our traditions and consolidate the patron saint of Palma as the major summer celebration of the city“. Among the novelties of this edition, she emphasised a large-scale concert at Parc de la Mar which will involve traffic restrictions on Passeig Marítim, “an unprecedented event demonstrating the growing significance of this celebration”. Mar Mesas, President of the Federació de Veïnats de Sa Ciutat, expressed her satisfaction with the close collaboration with the City Council to strengthen and consolidate the celebration. Roca, for her part, invited all citizens to take part in festivities “which are a celebration for the entire city”.
