A total of 1,191 students will sit the Bachillerato Exams for University Entrance (PBAU) in its extraordinary call from today Tuesday until Thursday, the 4th, 5th and 6th of July in the Balearic Islands

As reported by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in a press release, a total of 1,191 students are presented from today until Thursday, on 4, 5 and 6 July, the baccalaureate tests for university entrance (PBAU) in the Balearic Islands. Today, Tuesday 4th July, the extraordinary exams begin. This year, 1,191 students from schools on all the islands have registered for the exams, which include students from the baccalaureate plus students who are taking the exams to improve their grades.

By islands, 977 students will sit the exams on Mallorca, 115 on Ibiza, 96 on Menorca, and three on Formentera. The structure of the exams is the same as that of the June session. The first exams, scheduled for today, Tuesday the 4th of July at 9 a.m., will be in History of Art and Chemistry.

Examination points

The lower number of students in this extraordinary exam session means that there will be fewer places to sit the exams, one on each island. In Mallorca, the exams will be held in two buildings on the UIB campus: Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos and Guillem Cifre de Colonya. Examination centres are also located at the IES Quartó del Rei secondary school in Santa Eulària des Riu (Ibiza). Also at IES Marc Ferrer, in Formentera; and at IES Joan Ramis i Ramis, in Mao (Menorca).

The provisional results of the baccalaureate exams for university entrance for the extraordinary call will be available on 11 July and students will be able to consult them through the UIB digital.
