The Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF), now in its 13th edition, once again celebrates the art and culture of cinema, staying true to its mission: Connecting Cultures – Connecting People. This independent film festival takes place on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, where international filmmakers gather to showcase their works, network, and share experiences in this unique setting. Over five days, EMIFF transforms the island into a hub of creativity and connection, offering a diverse schedule that includes feature films, documentaries, short films, and high-quality animated movies.

Highlights of Evolution Mallorca 2024

This 2024, Evolution Mallorca will present the prestigious Icon Award to actress Annette Bening in recognition of her remarkable career and contributions to the world of cinema. With four Oscar nominations and a career filled with memorable performances, Bening joins a distinguished list of honorees at EMIFF, including Danny DeVito and Ana de Armas. The Icon Award ceremony will take place during the festival, where Bening will also participate in an intimate talk, sharing her vision and experiences in the industry.

EMIFF 2024 promises not only an excellent lineup of cinematic works but also a chance for the public to engage in discussions, panels, and special events. This edition aims to strengthen its mission of connecting film culture across borders and providing filmmakers with a platform to be inspired and thrive in the unique environment of Mallorca.

From the Opening Night to the Closing Night, EMIFF offers exclusive screenings and activities for audiences of all types, making cinema not only a window to different stories but also a space for dialogue and creativity. Events will be held at various venues across Palma de Mallorca, including locations such as Palau de Congressos, Cineciutat, Teatre Principal, and Sala Augusta, among others.
