Del Reino, a three-time world champion and runner-up at the last World Championships in Australia, once again showcased her quality with a very solid performance that placed her second on the podium. For her part, Mestre, the reigning Spanish champion, confirmed her high level and secured bronze after a series of fiercely contested races.

In RS Venture Connect, Homar and Gutiérrez sailed an impeccable final race that enabled them to climb to the world runners-up spot, a result that further strengthens their status as reigning European champions.

The CVPA team competed under the technical direction of Juanjo Beltrán and Ana Musatova, whose work underpinned the high standard shown by all the sailors in an especially demanding edition. The weather conditions, with light breezes and flat seas and with gusts of up to 15 knots at times, demanded constant consistency and precision throughout the nine races sailed.
