The fourth tourism report from the Federació de la Petita i Mitjana Empresa de Mallorca (PIMEM) and the company Processing Smart points to a recovery in the sector and one of the main reasons is the good behavior of the German and English markets. According to the company Roiback, a company that works with more than 2,000 hotels, at the moment the islands have a growth of 50% for Easter and 30% for the high season. Last January there was an increase of 20% each week.

Dingus, another company that has worked on the study, points to an increase in the average stay without lowering prices: 47% are reservations between 5 and 7 days and reservations of more than 8 days rise to 31%. By market segments, the same company points to the increase in family reserves, going from 17% to 29% this year. Couples drop by 47%. The average stay, says the portal, is 7 days.
Fideltur, an online marketing technology platform, assures in the report that 4 and 5-star hotels are the ones that dedicate the most efforts to loyalty and have identified the advantage of recovering 15% of their clientele. Among the offer preferences, sun and beach continues to be the most requested with 39% followed by health and well-being with 18%.
The Juniper technology platform has also pointed to good prospects and ensures that reservations made in January 2022 exceed those made in any month of 2021. Reservations for the month of June 2022 exceed those made in August 2021. For April and May, according to Juniper, there is a very interesting volume of reservations, unlike 2021.
