Holiday rentals in Mallorca have reached an occupancy rate of 89 per cent during this month of August, according to data provided by Holidu. Through a comparative observatory carried out by the holiday rental portal, where prices and occupancy in different destinations across the country were analysed during the August bank holiday, it is highlighted that the island records an average of €359 per night, which represents an 8% increase in prices compared to last year.

According to Holidu, the 89% occupancy rate is “especially positive, as the flow of travellers benefits both the region’s economy and the hosts, who see a boost in their business during the summer period,” the portal said in a statement.

Rates and occupancy levels by area

This year, holiday rentals in Mallorca show a wide variety of prices and occupancy levels in its main destinations, reflecting the high demand during the month of August. On the coast, Santanyí has prices of €364 per night with an occupancy rate of 82%, while Campos has rates of €376 and 81% occupancy. Manacor offers prices of €349 with an occupancy rate of 73%, and Calvià stands at €324. Meanwhile, Palma shows prices of €309 and an occupancy rate of 83%. Alcúdia and Pollença have rates of €390 and €452, with occupancy rates of 87% and 86% respectively.

In the interior of the island, Artà and Sóller present prices of €346 and €305, with occupancy rates of 82% and 83% respectively. Can Picafort is the most affordable destination with €289 per night and an occupancy rate of 84%.

According to Holidu’s study, Mallorca has an average price of €359 per night, while Menorca offers accommodation at €403. In the case of the Pityusic Islands, Formentera shows an average price of €427, and Ibiza emerges as the most expensive destination, with prices reaching up to €627 per night.
