The 2024-2025 Vocational Training (FP) course in Mallorca starts by expanding educational opportunities with a total of 10,650 places, 308 more than the previous year. This increase responds to the growing interest in these studies, which allow students to train directly in companies from the first year thanks to the Dual FP model.
Most demanded areas and new courses in Mallorca
Among the most popular FP studies in Mallorca are the areas of healthcare, sociocultural services and community care, and physical activities and sports. In addition, new training courses have been incorporated, such as:
- Higher Degree in Organization and Control of Construction Works at IES Politècnic.
- Intermediate Degree in Emergency Health Technician at CEPA Mancocomunitat des Pla.
- Intermediate Degree in Recreational Boat Maintenance at CIFP l’Embat.
- Higher Degree in Multiplatform Application Development at IES Sineu.
Infrastructure expansion in Mallorca
The infrastructure improvement plan also impacts the island. It is planned to convert IES Politècnic in Palma into an Integrated Vocational Training Center (CIFP), and other centers will be expanded, such as CIFP Pere de Son Gall in Llucmajor and CIFP Francesc de Borja Moll in Palma.
Mallorca will also see growth in ATECA technology classrooms, which bring students closer to real work environments through simulators. This year, 11 new classrooms will be added on the island, reinforcing the commitment to offer practical training adapted to the needs of the labor market.
This increase in places and improvement of facilities reflects the Balearic Government’s commitment to making vocational training a key educational pillar for the region’s economic and social development.
