The Consell presented today Monday, July 1 the program Cultura en vena (Culture in vein) 2024 in Mallorca for this summer. Llorenç Galmés, president of the island institution, highlighted the organization of numerous cultural and artistic events designed to bring culture closer to all citizens of the island. Additionally, he invited citizens to enjoy the varied programming that will extend over the months of July, August, and September.

The program includes various cycles, among which two new proposals stand out: Misericòrdia Petit, with many children’s activities, and Dissabtes a La Misericòrdia, offering weekly concerts at the cultural center. Also notable are the concert series La Lluna en Vers, La Volta a Mallorca, the Contacontes at Misericòrdia, as well as the exhibitions at both the cultural center and the Museum of Mallorca.

Promotion of Culture

“In this way, we are launching the cultural promotion campaign Cultura en vena, which conveys the idea that Mallorca carries culture within its depths, that it is an integral part of the island’s identity and also of our way of life“, explained President Galmés. That is why the campaign logo includes different heritage elements of the island such as the Cathedral of Mallorca; the Bellver Castle; the Pontàs; Na Foradada; a mill and a lighthouse.

Additionally, Galmés explained, the cultural promotion campaign includes the participation of prominent cultural personalities. These ambassadors include Llum Barrera (actress); Agustín el Casta (comedian); Jaume Anglada (singer); Jaume Colombàs (musician); René Makela (plastic artist); Tomeu Penya (singer); Mar Vives (lyric singer); Jaume Ripoll (Atlantida Mallorca Film Fest); Joan Carles Bestard (actor); Joan Muntaner (singer); José Juan Umbert (musician) and Paco González (musician).
