The Gorg Blau and Cúber reservoirs managed by EMAYA are currently at 36.52% of their total capacity, which is 15% below the levels of the same period last year. Despite recent rains in Mallorca due to the DANA, there has been no significant increase in the accumulated water volume.

The Gorg Blau reservoir currently holds 2.523 cubic hectometres of water, representing 34.27% of its capacity, compared to 57.51% last year. Meanwhile, the Cúber reservoir holds 4.385 cubic hectometres, reaching 40.09% of its capacity, down from 51.32% the previous year. Together, both reservoirs have an accumulated water level of 36.52%.

Although the rains have not led to a substantial increase in stored water, Llorenç Bauzá, president of EMAYA, has emphasized that “Palma will not face any water restrictions, although given the low water levels, we urge citizens not to waste water and to be prudent with their consumption.”
