The 2024 edition will include a total of five concerts, four of which will be held in Ses Voltes. The fifth concert will be held at the Castell de Bellver on Friday the 19th of July, with the participation of Menorcan musician Cris Juanico and the members of Palma’s municipal band, Simfovents.

The festival was first held in Palma in 1984, and is now commemorating its 40th anniversary. Throughout its history, there have been some parentheses during which the event was either not held or was integrated into other cultural initiatives.

According to Javier Bonet, first deputy mayor of Palma City Council, “there will be five concerts of great quality, profoundly Mediterranean and at the same time intensely eclectic and universal, which will be the best way to celebrate these 40 years that have passed since the first edition of Cançons de la Mediterrània”.
