The prestigious National Geographic magazine has included the Can Ferrereta hotel, in Santanyí, among the 13 best new hotels of 2021. The accommodation has obtained the first position in the category ‘best boutique hotel’, which values the exquisite style and excellent service of the establishment, as well as the sumptuousness of its rooms.
According to the publication, Can Ferrereta “makes an unforgettable first impression.” The stone walls and colorful exteriors with olive trees combine with “a canvas-like interior, displaying works by Catalan artists, including Joan Miró.” It is the first five-star hotel in Santanyí and has 32 rooms, a swimming pool, two restaurants (Ocre Restaurant & Bar and La Fresca Restaurant & Pool Bar) and a 400-square-meter spa. The architect Sergi Bastidas has been responsible for shaping this farmhouse.

Only one other Spanish accommodation appears on the list of winners: Mandarin Oriental Ritz (Madrid), which has received a distinction for the major renovation carried out in the last year.
