The municipality of Campos will have a new ITV vehicle inspection station from mid-2026. The future Campos ITV will be a permanent mobile facility with capacity to carry out up to 5,000 inspections per month. This infrastructure will help ease pressure on the most overloaded stations in the Part Forana, especially those in Manacor and Inca, and make this service more accessible for drivers in the south of Mallorca.

The station will be located on a municipal plot of 12,700 square metres, situated between the municipal sports centre and the Punt Verd, an area with good access. The land is being ceded for an initial period of four years, renewable, to host this infrastructure, which will also serve nearby municipalities such as Llucmajor, Felanitx, ses Salines, Santanyí and Porreres.
Timeline and preparatory works for the Campos ITV
The Consell de Mallorca will carry out the works needed to prepare the site, with a budget of €250,000. The project includes surfacing the areas where the inspection lanes, offices and parking will be located, as well as installing electricity, water and lighting across the entire site.
The project is currently in the tendering phase and, as planned, works could begin between late January and early February. Once the site preparation is complete, the concessionaire for Mallorca’s ITV service, Itevebasa, will install a canopy with four inspection lanes for light vehicles, for both cars and motorcycles.
The new station, which is expected to come into operation shortly before summer 2026, will be particularly important in easing the load on the Manacor and Inca stations, the most saturated on the island.
Reducing pressure on the Part Forana
The president of the Consell, Llorenç Galmés, said that Campos “is the key hub for installing a new ITV station, as the Part Forana stations are the ones we have most overloaded and this will help relieve them.” He also recalled that “this was a term pledge that is now taking its first step, with the ultimate aim that the municipality of Campos and the surrounding towns (Llucmajor, Felanitx, ses Salines, Santanyí and Porreres) have a permanent ITV service that is much more nearby and efficient.”
The future Campos ITV will also help to reduce waiting times. According to figures provided by the Consell, in July 2023 waiting times for an inspection exceeded five months, whereas currently they have been reduced to a maximum of between 15 days and one month.
