Calvià has been nominated as Best Beach Destination in Spain at the 2026 Viajes National Geographic Readers’ Awards, now in their fourth edition. The nomination, granted by one of the most influential travel magazines internationally, places this Mallorcan municipality among the most outstanding coastal destinations in the country.
The Viajes National Geographic Readers’ Awards recognise each year destinations and tourism projects that stand out for their quality, capacity for innovation and ability to offer distinctive travel experiences. These awards are particularly significant, as the final decision rests with the magazine’s readers themselves, combining editorial criteria with direct participation from the travel community.

This recognition also reflects the municipality’s commitment to sustainability, environmental protection and the continuous improvement of tourism services, factors that have enabled Calvià to position itself as a high-quality beach destination for both domestic and international tourism.
