The 2026–2027 school calendar in the Balearic Islands sets the start of the academic year on 10 September 2026 and its end on 18 June 2027 for most levels of education. In addition, the unified school holiday will take place on 26 February 2027.
This is established in the resolution presented by the Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats to the Advisory Council for the School Calendar, which outlines the main dates for the academic year in non-university educational centres in the Balearic Islands.

Start and end of the 2026–2027 school year in the Balearic Islands
The school year will begin on 10 September 2026 for students in early childhood education, primary education, special education, secondary education, baccalaureate, and elementary and professional Dance studies.
The end of the school year is scheduled for 18 June 2027, with two exceptions. Students in second year of baccalaureate will finish classes on 20 May in order to prepare for university entrance exams. Meanwhile, elementary and professional Music and Dance studies will conclude on 11 June 2027.
For the first time, the first cycle of early childhood education (0–3 years) will follow the same school calendar as the rest of the educational levels in the Balearic Islands, following a request from the sector.
When the school year starts depending on the education level in the Balearic Islands
The 2026–2027 school calendar in the Balearic Islands establishes different start dates depending on the type of education:
- 10 September 2026: early childhood, primary, secondary, baccalaureate and special education
- 21 September 2026: Vocational Training (basic, intermediate and higher levels)
- 23 September 2026: Adult Education Centres (CEPA)
- 24 September 2026: elementary and professional Music studies
- 28 September 2026: Special Regime Education (arts, languages and sports)
As for the end dates, most of these programmes will conclude on 18 June 2027, except for the Official Schools of Languages, which will finish on 31 May, while Artistic and Sports Education will end on 18 June 2027.
