This winter, Palma once again becomes a meeting point for lovers of contemporary art. The city presents a season marked by large-scale projects and collaborations between institutions that champion talent, memory and artistic experimentation.

Caixa Forum

Rumores infundados gathers the joint work of Javier and Rafa Forteza, two artists who, using different languages, explore the limits of the image and the enigma of the face. Their paintings and sculptures feature an abstract, unrecognisable androgynous face that invites introspection. While Javier addresses emotion and movement in gesture, Rafa investigates the density of form and abstraction as a space for memory and silence. Together, they are able to construct a poetic territory where the image becomes ambiguous and open, a place for emotion and uncertainty. Until 11 January 2026.

Es Baluard

Laberinto sin paredes attempts to highlight the loss of the poetic and human dimension of travel in favour of industrial logic. Jannis Kounellis sees his work as an emotional archaeology in which he unearths the memories that define us, transforming industrial and everyday materials into symbols of displacement and permanence. His work, deeply linked to the Mediterranean, connects history, myth and contemporaneity. The exhibition reveals his ability to transform the weight of the past into a form of present beauty. Until 30 August 2026

Tube Gallery

The exhibition prosper, despite a sense of crisis brings together painting, film installation, and mural sculpture by artist Ahren Warner, who explores the tension between idealised well-being and the actual vulnerability of the body. From his film You want to come, and to leave richer, shot in yoga retreats and luxury resorts in Indonesia, to paintings that rework his own poems and images, Warner examines how consumer culture shapes identity. Between beauty and corrosion, his works question what happens when the search for the self becomes just another product of industrial desire. Until 31 January 2026

Museu Fundació Juan March

The photographic portfolio 15 cuentos instantáneos (15 Instant Stories) by Cristóbal Hara intertwines portraits of schoolchildren from Cuenca taken in 1971 with stories by contemporary students. The narratives do not describe the images, but rather propose new stories inspired by them, generating a dialogue between generations through imagination. Until 2 May 2026.

Baró Galeria

In Resonancia Magnética (Magnetic Resonance), Pablo Siquier explores the relationship between order and chaos, between the rational impulse of form and its dissolution. The exhibition presents a series of new monochrome works that transition from black to rust, where digital precision and manual gesture coexist. The drawings, created with 3D software and then transferred to canvas, reveal the tension between technological rigour and human imperfection. Until 13 March 2026.

Kaplan Gallery

The Kaplan Gallery is hosting the exhibition Late Nights Day After Day by artist Joji Nakamura. It comes as a contemporary revival of romantic values. The artist aims to awaken in the viewer emotion, sensitivity, introspection and a connection with beauty and the sublime in the face of the coldness of modernity. A proposal that seeks to vindicate the romantic spirit through painting and personal experience, adapting it to the present day. Until 9 January 2026

Joan Miró

As part of the Paysage Miró project, the exhibition La chispa mágica (The Magic Spark) explores the role that chance discoveries, everyday objects, and unexpected encounters played in Joan Miró’s creative process. Through the Espai Estrella and materials from his workshops, the exhibition reconstructs his mental landscape: an archive of images, references, friendships, cultures, and places that nourished his work. Visitors explore these “sparks” to understand how the fragmentary and the poetic shaped Miró’s universe. Until January 11 2026.

CCA Andratx

The exhibition Two Birds and a Stone explores the tensions between perception, thought and experience, inviting the public to question the logic that structures reality. Through humour, double meanings and a wide range of materials, German artist Klaus Weber transforms everyday objects into points of reflection. The title —a twist on the Spanish saying “kill two birds with one stone”— symbolises his intention to break down established structures and open up new possibilities for interpretation between the tangible and the imagined. Until 14 March 2026.
