The businessman and founder of Baleària, Adolfo Utor, has kept 100% of the shares of the shipping company after the Matutes Group divested 42.5% of its share package.
In this way, they have agreed to end their business relationship that lasted 17 years. In a statement, the shipping company noted that both businessmen have had “a relationship based on mutual trust, and with results of which they feel proud and satisfied, by contributing with their participation to the consolidation of a leading shipping company in Spain and a benchmark international in sustainability and digitization ”.
In this regard, Adolfo Utor stated: “A new shareholding situation has been adequately responded to, and with the step taken, confidence in the shared project of Baleària is reinforced. We have had a good year, we have overcome the pandemic successfully and we face the future with renewed energy and enthusiasm ”.
For its part, Grupo Matutes will allocate this divestment to its hotel company Palladium Hotel Group.
