La Lluna en Vers reaches its final stretch with the concerts of the Nit Foliada. The sanctuary of Consolació, in Sant Joan, is preparing a magical night of concerts with the Tanxugueiras as the headliners of the Lluna en Vers. The Tanxugueiras will fill the stage with the most modern sounds of traditional Galician music. The next concert night of the Lluna en Vers will be next Saturday 20th August from 20:00 with bar service and foodtracks.
During the opening of the doors you can enjoy the music of PD Purbaia. At 21:30 the Galician duo Laura LaMontagne & PicoAmperio will be playing, bringing together Galician-Portuguese tradition and electronic music. Finally, at 22:30 the Tanxugueiras will take to the stage to perform a unique show as part of their Midas tour. The Tanxugueiras will close this Nit de Foliada in a very special evening dedicated to Galician folk music revisited.
Tanxungeiras
The Galician musical group formed by Aída Tarrío and the twins Olaia and Sabela Maneiro started working in 2016 under the name Tanxungueiras. Their music, Galician folk style, fused with a more modern electronic music, is reflected in their brief but intense musical career: In 2018 with their first album “Tanxungueiras” and in 2019 they were awarded the Martín Códax da Música Prize in the category of Traditional Galician and folk music. They have also performed on different stages in Cuba, India and Switzerland thanks to their collaboration with the Scottish folk group Shooglenifty. In 2022 they performed at the Benidorm Fest, the first edition of a festival organised by RTVE to choose the song that would represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, coming second.
