Rels B concert in Palma draws more than 40,000 people

More than 40,000 people attended the Rels B concert in Palma, held yesterday, Friday 11 September, at Parc de la Mar as part of the Diada de Mallorca (Mallorca Day). The Mallorcan artist returned to his home island for a free concert that drew thousands of fans to the area in front of La Seu.

The concert began at 21:30 and lasted nearly two hours. Rels B gave an energetic performance and maintained a constant connection with his fans, who sang along to his songs throughout the show. The audience included fans from numerous municipalities across Mallorca, with people of different ages coming together for the event.

The performance featured some of the songs that have defined his career, from his early work to the releases that have earned him major international recognition. The setlist spanned the different styles found in his music, with influences ranging from R&B and hip-hop to reggaeton, dancehall and Latin pop.

The concert required an extensive security and mobility operation due to the large turnout expected, as well as road closures and special public transport services. In the end, more than 40,000 people gathered around Parc de la Mar to attend the performance.

Rels B, Fill Predilecte de Mallorca

The performance had special significance because of the singer’s return to Mallorca and its timing alongside one of the greatest honours of his career. The concert formed part of the events organised by the Consell de Mallorca to celebrate the Diada and preceded the presentation of the institution’s Honors i Distincions (Honours and Distinctions).

Rels B, the stage name of Daniel Heredia Vidal, received the title of Fill Predilecte (Favourite Son) the following day, one of the highest distinctions awarded by the Consell.
