August arrives in Mallorca with an agenda marked by some of the major highlights of the summer. The Bay of Palma once again becomes the setting for leading sailing competitions, Es Jardí brings together pop, rock and international music concerts, popular festivities fill the island’s towns with life, and Mallorca prepares to experience one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the year: the total solar eclipse at sunset.

1 August
The Copa del Rey MAPFRE celebrates its 44th edition from 1 to 8 August in the Bay of Palma, bringing together some of the best sailors in the world. One of the most prestigious sailing competitions in the Mediterranean, with more than a hundred boats in full competition.
6 August
Sidecars and Miss Caffeína headline one of the most powerful nights of Es Jardí 2026. Rock and alternative pop live at the Mallorca Live venue.
7 August
Juan Magán brings his electrolatino sound to Es Jardí 2026 with a concert designed for dancing from start to finish. Performance at 22:00 at the Mallorca Live venue.
11 August
Club de Mar-Mallorca hosts the XXXI Illes Balears Clàssics Regatta, an essential event for lovers of traditional sailing. Historic vessels of great heritage value come together in a competition that combines sport and elegance. It ends on 15 August.

12 August
Mallorca will be one of the best places in Europe to observe a total solar eclipse at sunset. An exceptional phenomenon, visible from the island in privileged conditions, which will turn the Mediterranean horizon into a unique setting. It will begin from 19:37, with totality at around 20:31.

14 August
The Kyiv Ballet brings Swan Lake to the Auditorium de Palma, one of the great works of the classical repertoire, with music by Tchaikovsky. Part of the proceeds will go to UNICEF to support the emergency in Ukraine.
15 August
The Corrs offer a special concert as part of Es Jardí 2026. The Irish band combines pop and folk in one of the standout events of the summer in Palma. Performance at 22:00 at the Mallorca Live venue.
16 August
Alaró celebrates its much-awaited Sant Roc festivities. A programme combining tradition, music, cultural activities and events for all audiences.
28 August
Cala Mendia hosts its Night Fair around this date, with a varied selection of crafts, food and local products.
