The Mostra de Cuina de les Illes Balears 2026 (Balearic Islands Food Fair 2026) will once again turn Palma into a major showcase for local produce and island cooking. The event will take place on 27 and 28 February, and 1 and 2 March at Parc de Sa Feixina, as part of the programme for the Diada de les Illes Balears organised by the Balearic Government.

The programme includes performances by groups such as Descalaixats, Aftersuns, Via 80 and Sonats, alongside family-friendly shows for younger audiences such as Uapidubi, Xispita i Geordi and Jiji Jaja. The festive atmosphere will be rounded off with DJ sessions from names such as Miquel Font, Jaume Colombàs and Anto Cabanellas.

Showcookings celebrating island cuisine and local produce

One of the main pillars of the Balearic Islands Food Fair 2026 will once again be its focus on the islands’ own cooking and locally sourced produce. Throughout the event, the public will be able to attend live showcookings that highlight the diversity of Balearic gastronomy.

The culinary programme will feature chefs such as José Ángel Sánchez, Diego Merino, Miquel Serra and Kike Erazo, who will offer demonstrations linked both to traditional cooking and to more contemporary proposals.

These sessions reinforce the spirit of the fair, which centres on promoting Balearic culinary identity, the islands’ recipe heritage and the quality of local produce.
