Emergency Medical Care Service SAMU 061 recorded a 4.7% increase in the number of incidents attended during the year 2024, reaching a total of 199,932 incidents. This increase reflects the growing volume of calls to the Coordination Centre, which handled 671,768 communications. In addition to its intense healthcare activity, SAMU 061 has been recognised with two prestigious awards: the Ministry of Health Award for Excellence within the Framework of the Cardiovascular Health Strategy of the NHS (project “CPR in Schools”); and the Angels Award, granted in collaboration with the European Stroke Organisation, for excellence in high-quality stroke care.
