The December 2024 events agenda in Mallorca is brimming with magic, the magic of Christmas. Additionally, there are numerous performances, concerts, plays, musicals, and more. These are some December activities agenda to ensure you don’t miss a thing.

Christmas takes center stage in Mallorca’s December activities agenda. Nativity scenes adorn the city during this season—at Consell, La Misericòrdia, the Palma Town Hall, and more. Don’t miss other notable displays at Mercat de Santa Catalina and Convent de Santa Clara, open until January 6.

Christmas markets are another major attraction. In Palma, nearly 200 stalls offer crafts and local products until January 6 at La Rambla and Parc de ses Estacions. The Plaça Major market focuses more on nativity figurines.

The Son Fusteret fairgrounds host the Circo Alegría with its show A Christmas Tale, starring the jester Richi Richetto. Several performances will run through January 6, 2025.

December 20

The Rata Market Christmas edition will take place from December 20 to 22 at the Palma Convention Center. This market features over 40 stalls filled with original ideas, handmade items, and unique gifts not found in regular stores. From 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

La Ruina at Trui Teatre arrives on December 20 and 21 with two shows packed with humor and anecdotes. Comedians Ignasi Taltavull and Tomàs Fuentes will host, joined by a special guest.

Once again, Port Adriano opens its grand Christmas Park to the public. From December 20 to January 7, it will be located in the central plaza, featuring the largest eco-friendly ice rink in Mallorca.

It’s Christmaaas, a Christmas show at Son Amar, brings together the Exhibit and Ohalá casts to offer a spectacular visual and musical experience. Daily performances run until December 22.

December 21

On December 21 and 22, the Fira de Nadal Christmas Market will take place at the Lluc Sanctuary, the spiritual center of the island, surrounded by mountains. With nearly 50 stalls, it offers Christmas-related items, crafts, organic products, gastronomy, and decorations. Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

December 22

Marie Martin Quartet Christmas Jazz concert from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Passeig del Born. Followed by a Motown Christmas Group concert from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Passeig del Born.

December 23

Santa Claus visits Mallorca with his sleigh, traveling through Sindicat, Jaime II, Passeig del Born, Sant Miquel, and Sant Nicolau streets from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

The Manacor Theater presents the musical New York / Madagascar. Four Central Park Zoo animals, who’ve lived their entire lives in captivity, escape one day to explore the world. Performances run through December 29.

December 24

One of Mallorca’s Christmas classics is the Cant de la Sibil·la, a medieval chant performed during the Midnight Mass at the Cathedral on Christmas Eve and in many parish churches across the island.

December 25

Agustín ‘El Casta’ returns to the Palma Auditorium with his 2024 Christmas Special. A staple of Mallorca’s holiday season, the comedian will perform seven humor-filled shows from December 25 to January 1.

December 26

AGENDA Mallorca Christmas Events BELLA Y BESTIA

Beauty and the Beast, the popular children’s musical, tells the story of Belle, who offers to take her father’s place in a mysterious Beast’s castle, a prince under a spell. Only true love can break the curse. Performances run through January 4 at the Auditorium.

Palma celebrates its traditional San Silvestre run, starting and finishing in the Bellver Castle parking lot at 11:00 AM. The course winds through trails inside the Bellver Castle forest.

December 27

Vai Via is an emotional play paying tribute to women who prioritized caring for others over their personal achievements. The story of Rita, a homeless woman, is told through gestures, photos, voiceovers, and an original soundtrack. Performances are on December 27 and 28 at the Palma Teatre Principal.

From December 27 to January 4, the Royal Pages will travel through various Palma streets, including Parc de ses Estacions, Jaume II, Blanquerna, Plaça d’Espanya, and Nuredduna.

Experience the play The Great Magic of Gran Cassanyes at the Mar i Terra Municipal Theater. This unique show explores mystery, connection, and fascination with the extraordinary. Performances run through December 29.

December 28

Don’t miss The Grinch, the Christmas musical for the whole family at Trui Teatre. Follow the grumpy Grinch as he tries to steal Christmas from the Whos but learns from Cindy Lou that Christmas is about more than decorations and gifts.

December 29

Jazz concert with K12 Trio at Parc de les Fonts from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. In the evening, Spaguetti will perform at Plaça de Cort at 5:00 PM.

December 31

The Festa de l’Estendard is celebrated every December 31 in Palma, commemorating the Christian conquest of the city by King Jaume I on December 31, 1229, and the annexation of the Balearic Islands to the Crown of Aragon. At 10:00 AM, the Royal Banner of the Conquest of Mallorca and King Martí’s crest will be placed in Plaça de Cort.

The final night of the year closes 2024 with the 12 chimes on December 31. Join the iconic Figuera clock at Palma’s Town Hall for this unmissable event.
