Palma’s emblematic film event, Cinema a la Fresca 2024, returns this summer with its 37th edition. From the 5th to the 28th of August, the Parc de Ses Estacions will be transformed into an open-air cinema, offering residents and visitors to the island a unique opportunity to enjoy a total of 12 films. This year, Cinema a la Fresca’s selection of feature films, which has been running continuously since 1987, promises to satisfy all members of the family, with titles spanning various genres and periods of cinema.

The opening of the edition will be in charge of the Spanish black comedy ‘Cuñados’, directed by Toño López in 2021. This film, full of humour and unexpected situations, promises to raise a few laughs and mark the perfect start to the season. For the little ones, the cycle includes the screening of ‘Tadeo Jones 3: La tabla esmeralda’, an exciting adventure released in 2022 that will follow the adventures of the intrepid explorer Tadeo Jones.

Among the most anticipated films is ‘Barbie’, one of the highest-grossing films of recent years that has captured the public’s imagination with its innovative and entertaining approach. In addition, on Wednesday 21 August, attendees will be able to enjoy ‘Everything Everywhere at Once’, the acclaimed winner of the Oscar for Best Picture in 2023, known for its unique storytelling and impressive mise-en-scène.
