With just two days to go before the start of the 42nd Copa del Rey MAPFRE, King Felipe VI stepped aboard Aifos on Sunday 28 July to take part in the final training sessions prior to the competition. The boat, which will compete in the Watches of Switzerland ORC O class, is part of the Spanish Navy fleet and is known for its outstanding participation in prestigious sailing events.

At around 11:45 this morning, the monarch and the crew of Aifos set sail from the military naval base in Porto Pi for a series of crucial training sessions in the Mediterranean waters. These practices are aimed at fine-tuning strategies and perfecting team coordination, vital aspects for competing at the highest level in the regatta.
